Apart from this: realgearonline.com/post/208003 I can't find any mention of the ubiquitous 5 anywhere on this site/forum. Anyone have one and use one? I understand singing into one immediately causes you to sprout back hairs. Seriously though, anyone using one and care to comment a bit? (it's been more than a minute for me)

Is there a windscreen/mount option for those anymore?

(it's been more than a minute for me) A friend of mine has one (without the screen). I think I'm the only person that has ever used it. Very aggressive mic. Lots of low mid growl. I love it. I was thinking about seeing if he'd sell it.

One review said that with a switch engaged the SM7B sounded like the 5b. I wonder if that's true..

The vintage review at Recording Hacks said the SM7B with the presence switch engaged sounds like the 5b. I wonder if that's accurate.

I forgot how much it looks like a 545 in a blimp.
