This looks cool!
Production is dorked by COVID19 -- but maybe soon...

Lets break down the marketing speak a little..
Tries hard to invoke the LA2A nostalgia.
"Linear voltage multiplier gain reduction".. That's a mouthful. Linear what? Linear audio signal? Linear power supply? Audio is in LOG power, so they must mean a linear supply of some type. "Multiplier" makes me think it needs high voltage for something, likely an EL panel to be similar to an LA2A.
"voltage-controlled attenuation (not amplification)" Which is how a T4B works, by using a voltage divider circuit where one of the resistors is a photoresistor.
So I'm guessing it's a solid state design that emulates the attenuation curve of the LA2A.

Little Labs does interesting work. I only have experience with the IPB, but it sounds great in a very modern hi-fi kind of way. Leafing through the manual, I'd be game to try this thing out.

I didn't really get the impression that this was LA2A-ish at all. Especially given the 400 μs attack time. The phrase "mastering audio fidelity" suggests that it probably isn't vintage-inspired, but hey, I could be wrong.

A post at GS indicated that it has nothing to do with the LA2A:

OK, it's a Dave Amels thing, that's the most informative thing yet.

Or the ploy worked, and people are talking about the product.

Well I’ve heard of an LA-2A and an LA-2, but not a L2A.

Brad at LTLO had nothing but amazing things to say about this unit when he heard it an NAM. I'm very interested in it. I don't care what it's called.

linear voltage multiplier gain reduction ...GR element isn’t log based?
Voltage controlled attenuation (not amplification).. isn’t that a VCA compressor vs expander? Amplification done after the GR portion vs in the side chain would fit that bill I think.

It's unobtrusive dynamic control, it flatters the source without drawing attention to itself; it's super easy to use— threshold and an output control; the nixie tube easy to view.

Regarding the name -- this, from the manual: "First of all, in case you are wondering, the LL2A has absolutely nothing to do with the classic Universal Audio Teletronix LA-2A Leveling Amplifier. The name is similar to grab your attention. The LL2A is a 100% original design."
Well, it seems his ploy worked!
