On my list of things to get...waiting for a sale! Hopefully I won’t contract the virus before they have a sale.

So do I .. plus Pro-R, Pro-G and Saturn :-) Yup! Forgot to mention those two! Reminds me I need to use Saturn more, I usually go to Decapitator first out of habit. Any favorite models or settings in Saturn? I use the the Warm Tube a lot .. 30-40% .. on vocals and and VI's On rock tracks I also like to create a "dirt" bus and send vocals and guitars to it. I put a tape delay of about 100ms and then Saturn "Gentle Saturation" at 100% . I send small amounts. You're doing it right if you can't really hear it but if you mute it you notice something is missing.

Know what you mean, I started focusing on FF stuff shortly after the Holiday sale last year just missing it, and haven't seen anything from them go on sale since.

I recently let my Kush/Sly-Fi subscription go, so I have more need for saturation options. I’ll have to spend more time with Saturn to see if I can get it to replace some of my (old) usual suspects.

FF stuff comes up on gearslutz from time to time too?
FF has a cumulative discount function in your account as you buy, maybe contact their CS and ask how can you get the best price: always found them very helpful: they get it !

That's a good one, thanks! ....I just saw that FF is allowing those who have demo'd the plugs before to be able to do so again which I'll now get to do,...... if one is only picking up a couple of plugs that 15% would be the way to go,...... if one ends up doing a bundle of 4 plugs say, then I think you'd be better off with even a 10% off the bundle of 4 price than the total of stacking coupons for each purchase of them all in the end.

Q3, C2, Pro-G Pro-DS, Pro-R, Pro-MB, L2 and Saturn have all become as indispensable as the UAD plugins for me. I use them on every mix I do.

Seems they don't do sales very often but from now until August 1, Fabfilter has a 25% discount on all their bundles.

Recently got their gate, compressor and de-esser. Have had Pro Q2/Q3 for a while. It's just so easy to use. I used to use a lot more hardware emu EQs but I can pretty much get whatever I want with pro-Q. Something the console EQ and analog thing is fun for certain tracks but a lot of my stuff I just need to EQ and nothing else is necessary. Great plus.

I’d buy ‘em all if I had the cash to blow now. FF are one of those plugin developers where you should just buy it like Uhe, Klanghelm, and Tokyo Dawn. They don’t make inexact analog ersatz that just pisses you off that you spent 100-300 bucks that could’ve gone toward the real deal thing. The workflow is easy mode even if the eq and compressor plugins barely sound better than what’s in your daw unless you’re evaluating reaper. There’s ReEQ now though which is killer.

The FabFilter EQ is the best plugin ever devised. I use the limiter, the multi-band, and the compressor.
Get em and don’t look back.

Have been demoing the Saturn 2 for a week or so now. It's nice. I haven't mangled anything with it, but I was working on a track yesterday and threw it on the mixbuss. I was digging what the "warm tape" setting was doing to soften things up top, but it was a little muddy on the bottom where the bass drum lives. I created a 2nd band for everything 200hz down and scrolled through the types until I landed on one of the tube settings. Sounded just right. Pretty incredible to be able to do that.
Barely scratched the surface though. That's the thing about their stuff.... they go deep. I use the Pro-Q3 constantly and every time I'm reminded that I'm using like 30% of it's capabilities.

How's the gate though? I've never touched their gate. It's excellent. Easily the best gate I know of. Pretty much set and forget. I also like DeBleeder from Wilkinson for drums, but Pro-G is crazy good for vocals, electric guitar DI, acoustic guitar, etc.

How's the gate though? I've never touched their gate. It's nice. I struggled with gates and resorted to manually gating anything that needed it for years, but I'm doing that a whole lot less now that I have the Pro-G. It's intuitive enough for less troublesome tasks. There has been a bit of a learning curve in instances where I need it to do more heavy lifting, but I think that is just the thing with all of their stuff.

Yeah I’ve always used ReaGate and Prefix and tedious manual editing.

I really haven't found a gate I've ever really liked at least from a perspective of a digital era guy who has a certain idea of what a gate should do. Reagate is the best so far because of all it's parameters, but Pro-G seems to be as good and I just read that it has pre-programmed hysteresis per mode so that is good. I'm using it now in place of Reagate to see how it goes. So far quite nice. Otherwise people should take claritin or stop snorting coke so they aren't sniffing between tambourine hits.

The only way to make a gate plugin do anything you ever want it to do is to automate the threshold yourself. Works good then!

When did the "2" version come out?? I've been using Saturn since 2015, but I never got an email or anything telling me there was a new version. OK, looking for vids on YouTube, seems like it was released maybe 2 months ago?
