Hey guys and gals, do yourself a favor and demo the Unisum Mastering Compressor. Might be my favorite ITB compressor yet. No affiliation, just seriously impressed! Enjoy!

that's wayyyyy too many controls for me .haha. That's the best thing about it. Just use the usual knobs (Threshold, attack, release and ratio) and it'll sound great. You can also load a preset, and the generous guys behind them have already done all the tweaking on the more complex settings, then, again, you just have to mess with the usual parameters to get where you want. This one is really a game changer, imo.

This sounds like hardware..... I like this plug quite a lot and its getting very close at this point to being able to master in the box. (Keep in mind I have a lot of custom and Boutique hardware)

Dang, that's good! If you know what you're doing it's probably a must have. I'd most likely just use a preset, ha!

use this on about 50% of the masters that come out of the shop... Highly Recommended and often hangs with hardware.

Got this during its summer sale. Like it better than anything else for mastering compression. You can work with presets some. I modified a couple and usually just use those. If cpu weren't an issue when using this with the Erin EQ, I'd maybe use a third instance in mastering. Sometimes I'll just put a default Unisum in place of SSL X-Valve or whatever else. I've never really wanted to push it in terms of attack, release, or threshold. Actually, I don't think I do that on much of any compressors I use. But I don't think it's sounded off when I've done that just to experiment.

Highly Recommended and often hangs with hardware. it really probably is the most hardware-like compressor plugin I’ve personally used. I haven’t put in tons of time tweaking it yet (got it at Black Friday), but the various type-presets sound really good out of the gate.

Better all around than Kotelnikov by about 30% subjectively. More depth and more transparent with glue....

More depth and more transparent with glue.... Nice. I'll have to check it out. I don't like that it has everything configurable instead of tons of program dependencies like Kotelnikov even though Kotelnikov has mostly been replaced by Molot GE and Neold v76u73 for me. Kotelnikov vs Unisum vs Weiss DS1 sounds like a future comparison for me.

$199 right now on time projects website. Interesting their other plugs are 32 bit & $29.99. Watched the samples video where they put the plug to work and it stays pretty solid even w decent GR & sounds good doing so.
I’m more interested in the GYBBE transformer emu thing. How subtle is it or is it noticeable depending on the program material?
The GR meter threw me off, will take a little while to adjust. Not sure if this is worth $200 when Kotelnikov GE is $50 & the free one is already awesome in precise.
