Is adding a space before the question mark a Canadian thing? Genuinely curious.

Ward has very good build specs, what else do you know, seems they are trying to build a modern classic rather than a clone ?

Ward has very good build specs, what else do you know, seems they are trying to build a modern classic rather than a clone ? Drew has clearly poured his heart and soul into this and was determined to not just be a copy-cat but to actually make a unique mark. From what I understand, what I have gleaned out of the long process, the microphone is designed to provide a finished sound. Plus, it seems like it's indestructible and has been fed 'roids Start here: www.myburgh.eu/info watch the embedded video. Theirsch, Grosser and Dux are no small bit players in the microphone world. www.myburgh.eu/look and www.myburgh.eu/listen are revealing. Disclaimer: based on the samples provided[/u] My take-aways from these exquisite samples are that the M1 sounds like a modern extension of the Neumann family, and clearly if it were released by Neumann would probably be named something like the U97 . . . the lineage is transparent. Disclaimer: based on the samples provided[/u] When you're listening to the most revealing samples FOR ME: voice and acoustic guitar, sax and flute, I find the M1 excels over the U47 and U67 presented to some degree in certain ways. It sounds like I'm in the room listening, and the color is in the most pleasant way. It has the harshness already filtered out. It's remarkable really, in that regard,. Disclaimer: based on the samples provided[/u] It's very much got the body of a U67 and the clarity and extension of a 251 . . . which I realize is subjective and everybody's ears work differently, plus I'm only relying on the samples provided. Disclaimer: based on the samples provided[/u] In a side by side comparison, you can really hear the 'mask' of the 47 and the 'veil' of the 67. Disclaimer: based on the samples provided[/u] If it sounds like one microphone more than any other? Perhaps the M269. A microphone I am seriously lacking and looking forward to having some day. That being said, I am grateful for my U67 and Heiserman H47 Tube microphones . . . And probably don't 'need' to spend $5000 on an M1. But I probably will . . . some day... perhaps a day in 2020 . . . who knows? Anything could happen.

I actually thought in the first male vocal examples it had more of a low mid push than the others - which is a good thing to me. I thought the 47 had a touch more top end.

I reached out to them about getting a demo. I hope they can figure it out. It would be cool to get it here and next to the FleA49, etc.

Well, I'm no threat right now unfortunately come on John!! All you need is the streaming royalties from about 6-8 #1 hits and you'll have it paid off. Just go to the local pawn shops buy all their used smart phones and stream all your biggest hits on repeat, in about 20 years you can generate enough streaming income, of course by then Corona will have killed us all😎

Me thinking more mics😁 RIP this guy.. It will be one way bus ticket messing with wifeys car. worser consequence than the 10%ebay charge. my advice is to grab another mic ofcourse back to m1, if budget was no issue, i would grab it without a blink. the samples on this mic sounds big leagues but meanwhile, im content with my poorman Gefells, which is awesome too.

I finally got a chance to listen to all the samples. The M1 reminds me a bit of a cross between the M49 and U67. The top end reminded me of the M49, but it was more neutral as a whole like the U67. Just my thoughts from what I was hearing.
