HAHAHAHA 30 year old series. WTF are you even talking about? MOST SDC! So inflammatory! So wow. The topic was growing German families.....aunts, uncles, cousins. I sold KM140's because they didn't work for me in the free field, sounded fine diffuse field, which was rare around here. Any of the new SDC from Neumann are not good. The km130, 140, 185, whatever. All are not good. Schoeps dpa and Sennheiser all have them beat by a large margin. If you like them. Fine by me. But you're missing out on better choices. A small army of engineers disagree with you. So nice of you to say it here. You're the only GS style (insert descriptor) dude I've noticed here who manages to follow a post mentioning a piece of equipment with an instant declaration of that piece of equipment being garbage. This is the second time I've noticed it in reference to something I've mentioned. I'm not sure who you think you're helping, or if helping is even possibly your intent.

It's the new km100 series that are lacking. And I do not think I'm the only one that thinks that. by a long shot. And to me comparing a km140 to an 84 is not in the same solar system. And making a suggestion on dpa4011a to try out is not saying they are better than a km84. They are new though, still made and sound amazing so is a worthy mic to check out. But again, that's my opinion. All of this is subjective anyways which I'm well aware of. But maybe you should be reminded of that? I stated my opinion. You stated yours. Cool! I'm not here to argue about

..... I don’t mind my km184s....there I said it! I like them, too. If Neumann did RI the KM84, I suspect there would be plenty of people complaining that they don't sound like the originals. Or... perhaps Neumann should discontinue the 184 with the introduction of the 284. Then the 184 would likely be declared as one of the greatest SDCs ever and no one would like the 284. -09
