This last revision sounds wonderful. Getting very close to the real thing. The GUI still needs work but the sound is good.

Agreed... I've been doing massive amounts of gain reduction... more then you'd ever think you could itb and it still sounds great. It's officially released now.

Any other reviews of the Sta plug? I REALLY want to try it out, but there's no demo and I gotta buy a wrapper to use in Pro Tools. Urgh.

Even worse for those of us who don't own the real thing. Quinto - any plans for RTAS or AAX? Yes, RTAS/AAX, but my plans are not trustable anymore, we're so late...

I hear slate's new plug will drop soon, the "baconator 5000"; it doesn't emulate any classic gear but keeps steven hooked up with bacon so he stops traipsing round the world and gets more stuff done !

Oh, I think you're thinking of Slate no longer offering the Procrastinator plugin because they can't get the 64 bit version together? You know, the one with the seasonal presets, Fall, Spring, etc., except it doesn't say what year?
Will try the Sta Limit soon,

Ah, yes, the "Hype" mode. I've heard rumors there's a hidden "Super Hype" mode reserved for Slate's employees, I bet that sounds unreal.
Anyone else using the Sta Limit yet?

It's not RTAS or AAX, so I haven't had a chance to try it out again for a while. But I think cowboycoalminer said it's really pretty good.

I'm going to be giving this thing a go, hopefully it can be an alternative to my Waves 2a/3a stuff

I think the Sta's better than the Waves 2a. 3a, and the CLA, Kramer stuff too. The UAD LA2 is a different story though. The UAD LA2 is great, but it's more colored and obvious than the Sta. The Sta's cleaner, a little leaner and more transparent. I like the UAD LA2 on the 2 bus and the Sta on vocals.
