Stager SR-2N and Advanced Audio 47fet. Have had my finger hovering over the "add to cart" buttons for weeks. Can’t go wrong with the Stager. Get a pair. They are in constant use over here. My buddy just got the stereo SR-2N, so planning to give that a test drive soon. I'm sure that'll tip me over the edge. I prefer 2 separate mics, but he seems thrilled with it so far.

I’m trying to find somebody who wants to sell their copy of LEAP so I can have a better Crossover modeling software. Also over the weekend heard a system using a XTA digital crossover, but using the AES I/O and a Lavry Blue system for conversion! Daddy want, that would kick the ass of my current Ashly I use for getting baseline ideas for points and slopes.

The 3 fake 57’s the pawnshop I could have for a buck each! I could probably sell them for a 2000% markup on eBay after fees as fake SM57’s hell could probably make even more stripping them and selling the parts as fake Shure parts!

The Apogee Symphony Desktop when it comes out. I'm dying to see how stable and fast the drivers are.

I reckon an ICU Mechanical Ventilator with 7.1 Surround sound and a single malt I.V. drip is looking pretty tempting right at this point in time!

Sitting in the house while our school system is closed an extra week for spring break is gonna be dangerous. It would behoove me to go record/practice instead of looking at gear. 😂

Those have been on my radar for a while now. I got a bonus at work, so I pulled the trigger on a set. I'll let you know how they are. Did you ever get these?

Still trying to avoid a Silver Bullet As soon as I get an account settled (that’s been taking forever), I will no longer be avoiding one.

So when I went to the local guitar shop to impulse buy an Iridium and a J Rockett Dude pedal, they were sold out of both but, the did have a brand new 2020 Gibson 1960 Hummingbird Reissue. OMG. This guitar is stupid. It’s even better than the new Sheryl Crow signature C&W they have in there. I hate the people at this guitar shop for doing this.

A newly made Gibson acoustic that is that good is like a hens tooth. Go gobble that thing up and enjoy it. You won’t soon find another like it!!

I got a bonus at work, so I pulled the trigger on a set. I'll let you know how they are. Did you ever get these? I did. Wonderful speakers. Super accurate although there's a small mid-range push, which actually works great for mixing. I did not hear any crossover holes at all. Now, I'm sending them back. Why? Because they sounded very, very much like my Neumann KH310 monitors. That's actually a really great thing, since the kh310s are 3ways, and cost twice as much.. The transfer between the tweeter and woofer on the s400's is one of the best I've heard, and there's no area in the mid-range that loses frequency accuracy like a lot of two ways can. The extended low end is tight, but still full. It doesn't necessarily replace a subwoofer, but you might not find yourself missing a sub either. They're not boxy or boomy sounding. Honestly, if I didn't already have the Neumanns, I would have kept the s400s and never looked back. They best amphions by a long shot IMHO and don't have the strange softness.

I’ve been following them and see that their new active model is open for preorders. This one has an integrated rear firing sub, so it’s a three-way. Also has DSP room correction available. Thing is, you have to buy their hub for the room correction, and the only “measurement mic” you can use is an Apple iPhone.

Hard to describe where they fit in the Neve-API spectrum, but they definitely do a “vintage” heavy thing really well, while still retaining lots of detail.

Spectra Sonics Complimiter 611 Recording a singer with very strong transients that is way too quick for most compressors and I have to set the pre quite low to avoid these little distortions. I'm interested to see if the peak limiting on the 611 running before the preamp would help.

There’s probably a difference, but it’s probably pretty small.
