Running three 12AT7s at merely 20v on the plate (according to msamper's measurments). Very low current draw. It looks cool enough and I'm sure the designers, who know much more than me, have squeezed out every bit they can. There is definitely a market for such a 500 piece. Of course there was definitely a market for the Ford Pinto and those guys were smarter than me😎 Now there's a car waiting to be reissued!

I have a couple of these. I have only had a chance to use so far on a couple of sources including voice, but... I can say that they are very full and lush and warm. Definitely a vintage vibe to my ear. Really beautiful sounding pres. They soften transients which in my book is generally a very good thing. If you’re looking for ultra pristine and uncolored, don’t get these. They compliment natural sounding sources but are colored and lush. But they don’t sound squashed or smashed. That's interesting. I thought they sounded pretty clean and modern on the vintageking demos. Anything recorded with them you could share? I don’t have anything finished and released with them to share as most of my work lately has been producing and mixing. As soon as I have something I can share I’d be happy to

I guess if you want a distortion fuzzbox... They don’t sound distorted to me at all until really pushed to that point... the high/lo gain switch gives you options. There’s plenty of gain before distortion. Very smooth sounding. But if you want to saturate/distort it’ll definitely go there.
