I wish you had tried the Six, I'd love to know what you think.. It’s an awesome all in one box. I messed with it for a bit. Small and powerful. Bus comp didn’t seem limiting (hah!) to me at all. I think they picked the best functional pieces of the comp and made it work. Did you get a chance to go back and mess about with it?

Yes. It grew on me. I’m still not sure the bus compressor is quite flexible enough, I’d love to hear it at home where I can really dial it in. I also listened to the SSL Fusion and the Dangerous Music 2 bus +
I’m interested in a color circuit that helps me sound a bit more like I use a big console. It’s hard to say on headphones at a convention, but I think the Dangerous was a more refined piece.

For the few times I have to mix using a computer, and not on my console, I bought a Dangerous 2 Buss + ! Mixing totally in the box is NOT an option for me.
Anyhow, It has been great. Simple, reliable, and has quite a few built in sonic flavors that cover a lot of ground. Beautiful piece. If that's the direction you might be headed, then it's worth considering it in my opinion.

I was looking at this more and is it just more or is SSL kind of copying Audient and their inline console? The 500 rack being the difference. At much cheap and option DAW control the Audient seems like a better buy still.

The Audient has DAW control and assignable VCA automation faders that can be assigned anywhere. It also has 12 auxes and 24 busses. Granted the SSL eq comes with a lil more love in our trade, but is it better?
This is prolly the first LFC SSL has made that is functionally bested by Audient.
I just researched consoles this spring and landed on an API 2448. Which is an awesome console with really great DAW control and amazing, totally pro automation.
