Never heard them nor worked on them. I just want to mention that a wave guide always causes compfiltering in the HF range. The light plastic housing calls for trouble too. I can see why they need DSP correction software, which - by the way- causes phase issues. That's just seen from the construction. I doubt that I am wrong, but it's possible that they are the next NS 10 and my knowledge about nearfields is old.

These are brand new and just hit stores in past week or two. From most accounts at the Winter NAMM show, the construction is really high quality. I heard positive things around then, with people saying they were surprised at the quality of sound for their size. There's some folks at the purple site claiming they are having issues.
It seems like a nice option though if you have a mobile recording situation and want to quickly setup for whatever room you are in, which is something I do on occasion.

I have never found any room correction to work well. It might fix one issue, but always seems to create others.

I bought the original version and returned them two days later. They just couldn't handle any juice. I way preferred the small size Genelecs, but they are far more expensive of course. I could mix an album on those Genelec's, they were so clean and transparent. I don't know what this version sounds like.

These iloud small monitors have been so handy over the last 2 x years as an excellent Bluetooth music playing machine. They sound exceptional for the price. IT sort makes me wonder what the MTM's would sound like as main monitors in my recording set up. Any one taken them for a spin yet?

I use them with my mobile rig. They get me in the ballpark. I think it’s reasonable to assume that quality would extend to the MTMs, but speakers are such individual choices, YMMV.
