I purchased Fender Collection 2 last night so that I can then get in in the group buy. I don't see the Fender Collection in my account though. Do I have to authorize the Fender Collection first or something before it will show up in my account? Once it manages to show up in my account, will I then automatically be able to purchase additional plugins through the group buy page, or is there more to all of this? Sorry, I'm an IK newb. You should have been sent a serial # by email. Enter that in the IK Authorization manager, and you should see it then. Ok. I guess I need to download the authorization manager then.

Also, you can get Fender Amp Collection 2 (it's great) for 64.50 right now, which puts you in the $129 dollar tier and allows you to get 6 plugins of equal or lesser value. Thanks Craig Jeez! I thought I was immune to this group buy because I already have most everthing they make. But, 64.50 to pick up the Leslie and get the rest of what I'm missing is starting to make my wallet itch, LOL!

How do I get the fender collection 2 for 64? I'd probably be game do that to get in the door on the group buy.

Hmmmm interesting. I was thinking you had to buy through IK's site for the deal to work.
Has anyone tried yet?
Still a great deal either way.

I bought the half off Fender Collection 2 from JRR, and when I registered it at the IK site, the pick 6 thing was under the promo tab.

Worked for me too. Papa needs a new pair of shoes! Time to pick 6!

The Fender Collection 2 is amazing. I have a Tweed Deluxe amp that I built myself, an old Champ, and these amps are meeting pretty legit.
Their Pultec and Fairchild are good, as well as the mastering EQ.

Per Peter at IK, apparently you can buy another product and participate again. So that would be 14 plugins for the price of 2. Pretty sweet deal.

So the new tape machines are what have gotten me interested in the IK stuff but I'm still not clear on how the whole T-racks thing works. Actually, I'm not sure about Amplitube either.
Are these some kind of module loader or something? In other words, do I load these Fender amp modules inside Amplitube? Can I also use the Fender amp models standalone within my DAW?
What about T-racks? Does it kind of work the same way? What's the advantage of using T-racks/Amplitube versus using these various tape plugins or amp models standalone?
Do I have to buy Amplitube or T-racks separately to be able to run Amplitube or T-racks plugins?
The same goes for the Leslie. I've heard good things about the IK Leslie but, on their website, I see a T-racks Leslie for $129 and then the Leslie Collection (T-racks & Amplitube) for $179. Is there a reason I would want one over the other? Are "Collections" available to be purchased as part of the group buy?
Sorry, I'm just new to all of this IK stuff and kind of confused.
Edit:
So I see now that I have Amplitube Custom Shop in my account and that Amplitube does generally work as a standalone loader. Will Fender 2 work inside Custom Shop or do I have to own Amplitube 4? Can I pick up Amplitube 4 as part of the group buy?

That's what I did. I ended up upgrading to Amplitube 4 and got another 6 including both Fenders, the Mesa, Leslie, SVX2 and Hendrix bundles.
I used some leftover Jampoints to knock of 30% of each purchase so total was around $170 for 14 total.

Amplitube 4 has some interesting upgrades, the cabinet room is fun to tinker with. The classic Marshall bundle with it is pretty good. The JMP-1 brought back some memories, I'll have to hunt another one down one of these days.

AmpliTube Custom Shop is free and will load as an AU/AAX/VST plug-in, as well as run stand-alone, allowing you to use any of the models you've purchased within it's interface. AmpliTube 4 has more features and comes with 4 newer Marshall models. T-RackS (I don't know why the last S is capitalized, Italian marketing is a mystery to many IK users...) Custom Shop is also free and will run as an AU/AAX/VST plug-in or as a stand-alone mastering app, but it's modules can also run as individual plug-ins unlike AmpliTube. T-RackS 5 comes with the four ancient "Classic" modules as well as the four new Dyna-mu, EQual, Master Match and One modules. 5 also allows you to resize the plug-in windows, stand-alone or in the app. I own almost all their stuff already due to sales like these and I think T-RackS 5 is worth it to get the four new modules as well as qualify for the $149 Master EQ 432. Stealth Limiter is also great, throw in all four Tape Machines and that's a solid 7 bus processors. Add in the Fender 2 50% off deal and you could grab the $149 AmpliTube 4 and MESA/Boogie bundles on the first deal instead of the cheaper Tape Machines, and still add them on the Fender deal along with T-RackS Leslie, Precision Comp/Lim, Bus Compressor and one of the API/Neve/SSL EQs. There will always be another T-RackS/AmpliTube sale.

If you're just using these as DAW plug-ins, the T-RackS version runs stand-alone so you can use it anywhere, including after the AmpliTube plug-in. The AmpliTube version has to run inside that engine, but lets you run it before other AmpliTube fx or in a dual amp rig. If you don't plan on playing live guitar through them, just get the T-RackS version.

I don't plan on playing organ/guitar through the Leslie in a live show sort of context, but I do have an interest in potentially tracking through it. Does Amplitube offer better latency over T-rackS or something?

The Amplitude version is intended for with hooks into playing live as part of a guitar rig--ie, as a cabinet for another amp....on the iPad live....whatever. The CS version requires you use it in a DAW and can't really be used for guitar. I mean--you obviously can run whatever through it--but Leslie Guitar is a Marshall or Fender amp fronting a Leslie cab.
