Yes, I want it. It will pair nicely with the OB6. *sigh* I've got to save more money than expected.

The price is $390 for the first 50 clients. I just couldn't pass that up and pre orderded one too, yesterday. It seems is gonna be stereo. A couple friends of mine ordered his LA2A comp, they're pretty excited, almost got me to pre order one too.

You'll be ok, If it starts to get hairy, put your stuff in plastic garbage bags and tape them shut with gorilla tape, get them up high! Thanks Tony! The official report is "everything will be just fine, no biggie". So, it will rain the whole weekend and nothing more.

Thanks! I'll unplug everything. I still can't believe a hurricane may pass...but oh well, better safe than sorry.

I like USPS for most of my fine investments. The last time I used Fed Ex, they charged a whole lot extra stuff: first a handling fee, then 2 hours of storage, then the tax for making a bill and for printing the bill (obviously). They expect me to pay $200 when the package arrives, and have never called me to tell me how much it's gonna be...Not my best experience with them.

So, it seems tomorrow a Cat 3 Hurricane is gonna hit where I live. As far as it goes, Patricia (hurricane's name) is a Cat 5 and today arrived at the pacific coast. This is the first time a hurricane is gonna pass through land, I live quite a few hours(5) away from the beach, Patricia is a heavyweight. Anyway, I already placed some of my gear far from the ground and turned the main power off. What are your suggestions? Should I pack everything and move it to my department? My studio is 20 cm's above the ground, the door is sealed, there is only one way water may come in and is if a small dome blows off...but I suspect it won't. Any advice to avoid some gear loss is appreciated.

This is great, I wish I could sign up on that list. When you go international I can help here in Mexico. For the moment, I am still waiting for the Silver Bullet.

I'm late to this post, but it's so cool. Those modded channels sound so good and smooth. The mix is great too Noah, and the difference between both channels are heard in my ipod earbuds.
I think I go the same as monkeyxx. I'm still listening through cheap earbuds, so if everything fails, I'm gonna blame them.

Sometimes it gets wild in Mexico City and Guadalajara. Bus drivers usually are talking on the cellphone, and think are driving a VW Beetle. There have been quite a number of accidents because of them. Getting a licence here is pretty easy and cheap. Most people don't care about it, it's easier for them to bribe a cop...go figure. Most of the time is fun and peaceful driving, is just matter to stay sharp.
BUT, in China things get out of control. The first time we toured there, it was a shocking experience, we thought we would die in a car crash. It seems there are no driving rules at all. Just look at this

I want both, but the impedance thing gets my vote. I'm curious about the Baxandall EQ in it, I imagine it will be fixed. Can you elaborate more on this please? Great ideas BTW.

Well I have to say this Mixbus 3 has a distinct sound (good one). I can't say it's better than (insert your favorite DAW here). Coming from Studio One and Cubase, the workflow is different, Mixbus3 is near to be working on my console. The thing is you're only using the mouse and some keyboard shortcuts, so it's not that fast. Latency is not accurate with HW Inserts, it's really near to be anyway. I'm new using it but from my POV a DAW needs to be intuitive, MB3 is kind of intuitive. Routing is a guess game for the first time, you have to take note which is your interface output with the "playback" in MB3 and the same with the inputs. Maybe there is a way to do this easily. I wish there could be more than 8 Mixbuses for more FX, why limit that? Right now I can only work in 44.1Khz because there's an issue with the ASIO driver in MB3. I'm pretty sure they're going to fix almost everything in the next update. Also the use of a control surface might get this one to another level. Anyway at this point is buggy, but I think is worth the try, I'm using less plugins(for this project), it's CPU friendly and I like the sound (hope the client likes that sound!). Will have to report back later.

Thanks working with latency in native protools is a huge pain. Latency is calculated automatically but I always end up having to make manual adjustments.. I hope measure latency function in mixbus is better than protools. I hope that too! I'll check it later and report back.

Is it possible to route signals so that I can use outboard gears as inserts in mixbus? How does it deal with the latency issues (parallel processing for example)? If it's better than native protools then I might give it a go. Had that doubt too. I don't know if it's better than native PT, maybe this video might help you.

Ok ok ok I'll go and buy Mixbus, seems a no brainer. Just as a side note, there is no surface control support right now(for v3). Still they say it'll be available in the next update so it's all cool.

I have not done it. I have only been asked to do it once, but refused...it was a deal breaker for them. It seems to be the norm nowadays "yeah, let's not worry about a decent drum recording...it can be replaced in the mix".

Yes, it seems like a sweet idea, maybe it would be great to try it with the colourupter or go crazy with the implode.

...Faderport is excellent (I wish they made an extended version with 8 faders)...if I can't find a clean US2400 then the X-Touch looks to be my next controller... Ditto on the Faderport. I find it really smooth to work with, the integration with Studio One is flawless. I wish there was a 8 fader version too. Haven't heard of the X-Touch until now, it seems really good, hope it gets out soon.

I used to watch Cosmos with my father and brother, I was a kid but still felt amazed by our place in the universe. Recently I started watching the new version, the first chapter is mindblowing. I've never seen any of those channels, but I will. There was a modern physics class I took in University, our teacher worked for NASA. He was in the R&D team for the quantum computer. We were fortunate, he took vacations every now and then, in his free time he was a teacher. That class was really cool, it was difficult too. I remember he told a partner (my partner was pissed because the exam wasn't about anything we saw in class) "Life gives problems you are never aware of"

Mackie HR824 I like them, haven't had a problem. I'd like to try a pair of Focal Twin Be though.
