The answer is simple but expensive; it depends on the track, player room and guitar so you need both. Sorry but I still think like a gearpimp who at one point gave Ward’s mic locker a run for the money. Hell I once showed up for gig and was called the “John McBride of Dynamics “. Fully agree with ericn, I have both a matched pair of the original 0-11s and a matched pair of the 0-13s. Love them both. Use depends on everything eric said above in addition to even the players playing style. So….obviously both.

Dr. Bill, My opinion, but I think it is the best pellet grill on the market. American made, based in georgia, and they sell direct. Great craftsmanship and I love the WiFi control with my iPhone. Check out their website at recteq.com. I cook just about everything on it from steaks, seafood, poultry, smoked pork, etc. we also make awesome wood fired pizza and even chocolate chip cookies on it. I think the app and WiFi control are awesome for monitoring grill temp and the two temperature probes for food. I’ve had mine for three years and it still runs and looks like new and we use it all year long, even during the winter here in SW Colorado. Highly recommended. Thanks so much Mike! One question - is it located outside - and does it stand up to the winters? Seems like every cheap @$$ grill I buy only survives 2-3 years here.... Yes, mine has been out on the deck since I purchased it 3 years ago. I did also by their custom cover for it. We live at 7500 ft elevation just a couple miles outside of Durango and I’ve swept snow off of it multiple times over the past 3 years and it still looks like new. Very easy to clean and maintain also. If you are ever in the area, I will make you my famous reverse seared smoked steaks. 😎

Life just would not be the same without my Recteq RT-700 Bull. The most awesome grill/smoker I’ve ever used. 😎 Mike - tell me more about this beast!! I need to know....... Just wondering if any of ya’ll get down with smoking meats. I’ve got a recteq pellet grill that rocks my world. Anyone else get down on the smoking arts? Quality liquor, smoked meats, and gear- there has to be an overlap lol Life just would not be the same without my Recteq RT-700 Bull. The most awesome grill/smoker I’ve ever used. 😎

After 40 years working in both clinical and corporate healthcare there is one thing that is certain...every drug removed from the market by the FDA for causing severe harm to patients was originally approved by the FDA. Just food for thought.

I just don't see $1200 to purchase the three pedals. If I didn't already have a pedal board and and AXE FX III, I would purchase the Fractal Audio FM3 for $999 before I could see myself dropping the coin on these pedals.

Big UAD fan here with an Ox Amp, X16, X4, two Octo and one Quad Satellite and over 50 UAD plugs, but as proud as UAD seems to be of these pedals, being a guitar player for 45 years, I will take a strong pass on these pedals. I will stick with my current pedal board and my AXE FX III.

I gotta say...I can't tell much of a difference with the API summing. I can with the Neve, but I think the API is a pass for me. Also, I like the 2254, but it's made me really go in and test with other plugs I already own. It's really similar to the 33609 - more weighty though. But I've rediscovered the Zener and that was kind of the nail in the coffin for the 2254 for me. This is the most helpful post of the day for me so far. I was feeling the same way about the API compared to the Neve but I was still gassing for the API. Nice to know someone else is thinking the same thing.

I’m planning on the AS now, but , of course, have the auction dilemma. I had one in my basket months ago but didn’t pull trigger: dufus! I don't think you will regret the AS 76a. I have a pair and they get used just as much if not more than my pair of Chandler RS124s.

Sometimes you need to really check (pay attention) to UAD pricing. I was looking at the Neve Bundle thinking that since I already own the 1073 pre/eq and the 1084 pre/eq there would be a break on pricing. Nevertheless, not the case. Before the coupons the bundle price is $659, however I can buy all the plugs in the bundle that I don't have for $620. I'm not slamming UAD since I own an x4, X16, three satellites, over 40 UAD plugins, and have gone full Luna, I am a fan. Just noting that sometimes the bundles are not the best deal. On the positive side, I guess in my case I can pick just what I want from the bundle and still come out ahead on pricing.

Ozone 9 is on every mix I do. One of the best finishing plugins I've used.

I think I am going to have to drop the money on the API summing. It just does something to the drums and guitars that I really like. In the mix I am working on both would work great with the Neve seeming a little creamier and the API a little punchier.

Picked up a bottle of Redemption Rye yesterday and I liked it. 92 proof, 95% rye and 5% barley. Spicy and smooth and only $27.

I don’t have a MOTU interface, but when I first purchased my x4 I connected it via adat to my Symphony MkII and had some functionality, but not to the extent I wanted. Sold the Symphony and added a x16 a few days ago and now have the I/O and workflow that really meets my needs. As a bonus, I never really liked my Focal Twin 6 monitors with the Symphony. They always sounded harsh in the high end to me making it hard to mix, so I found myself using headphones more and more. Now with the x16 I’ve fallen back in love with my Focals. I feel like I can hear what’s going on with the mix very well without the harshness. Never thought different converters would make that much difference. Maybe it’s just a happy coincidence due to the frequency my abused ears hear, or don’t hear.

I've found that since I retired from the corporate world that drink much, much less, maybe an ounce or two a couple times a week. We also moved to Colorado, so supplementing with herbal remedies could have something to do with that.

Looks like UAD has added API summing as an option for Luna. I guess they can just take my money now.

I picked up an Apollo x4 a few months ago when the plug-in deal was running because I was really interested in Luna and wanted to give it a try. After after tracking and mixing a new song in Luna with the x4 I sold my entire Apogee 16x16, 2x6se card, and Apogee remote. I loved the sound of the Apogee Symphony, but the Apollo - Luna integration was just too enticing. Now I have the Apollo x16 on the way via the satellite promo. This will give me the x4 controlling the x16 and 3 satellites for 30 processors during mixing. Now if UAD would just get I/O hardware insert capability running in Luna I will be even happier. Since I also have the UAD OX amp I like the fact that the Apollo has the sample rate conversion feature since the Ox only outputs digital at 44.1 and I rarely record at 44.1. This was one of the features I missed with the Symphony system. Wow, re-reading this is looks like I've bought into the entire UAD ecosystem. . I think I remember Wiz saying something to the effect of how simple it was just to come into the studio and flip a couple switches and be up and recording in minutes since he switched to an Apollo and I would have to totally agree. Wow. That's a big move. I've been pretty impressed with the little UAD x4. I got it hooked up to a patchbay so I can use some of my hardware like my Silver Bullet and Bricasti. I think the sound may be different, but subjectively nobody I know has been able to tell the difference between things I've recorded using this vs the Symphony setup. Looking forward to getting the x16. All in all a pretty smooth transition and the workflow is much nicer for my needs.

I just started getting into Rye whiskeys a couple months ago so I am loving these whiskey topics. Keep the suggestions coming. Currently enjoying a bottle of 100 proof Knob Creek Kentucky Rye. Tried a botte of High West Rye a few weeks ago that I really enjoyed.
