It was a bad power supply. Not related to the card at all. :/ Son. Of. A. Bitch.

Finished the second one and finishing up the prototype faceplates. The demo is gonna be a pair of them, slightly different configurations (transistors and transformers). Almost done, sorry this took so long.

So one has different transformers then the other??

Yes, we made one with a Cinemag input and Quad Eight style output, and the other with a Jensen input and one of our standard custom Cinemag outputs. Both have the same Cinemag inductor.

I haven't read the entire thread, but is there a proposed cost on these?
Also, if you need beta-testing, I'd propose Eric Valentine (Undertone Audio). He's got some of the originals, and is a huge proponent of the plugin as well. If you want a great set of ears who are experienced with these....I think he's your man.

Havent worked up the final price, but when I last looked I figured $625 plus or minus.

Would be cool to get his feedback for sure. He is the one that did the good comparison between the OG hardware and the ST Plugin. Beautiful! Not off topic at all. This plugin is a recreation of Roger Schult's W295 EQ. Roger builds amazingly good gear, btw...

Dropped off the first two in Chicago today for some end user use and abuse. Scheduled for a session in the first week of January, after which I’ll finalize the build and start in the first round of production... stand by to stand by...

The Cinemag set was the unanimous favorite.

Also, no op amps - this guy is three discrete gain blocks. I love it, it’s so quirky. They basically took tube schematics and replaced the tube stages with transistors. Each stage has a driver which is basically a White cathode follower using transistors. When you look at the transistor selection you can even mostly guess at what the tubes were in whatever reference design they used.

Looking forward to having a pair!
