The 2 on top are the FAB mics and the Neumann is on the bottom.

Thanks. So are we hearing the Fab in the middle or on the top?

Here's another pic of the mics. What are those mic stands with the curved arms?

Vocals are coming soon we promise - just a lot in the pipeline at the moment. We took the brave decision to post comparisons as we want to be honest with our microphone. We understand a Neumann is what it is and no other microphone whoever it's from is going to sound exactly the same. In fact we have the luxury of having 2 other U67's to compare and even they are slightly different from each other. We believe we have achieved a pretty close example using the best components available. During our testing phase we rejected 2 of the capsules from very prominent manufacturers, simply because we felt they were not up to the quality we wanted to achieve. Many thanks for all your comments so far. Why don't you post another comparison using EQ with your mic to add the body of the lower mids that is lacking compared to the Neumann? You mic is $5,305.00 less than a new U67. If I could see how close you could get with your mic and some EQ that would be interesting.

I guess we could do that but it could be confusing posting here as some may think we are trying to manipulate our results and we wanted to be as honest as possible by having just the raw files. Maybe you could do your own test and let us know how you get on - that would be very interesting for us

Thanks. So are we hearing the Fab in the middle or on the top? On the top So that in itself would create a significant difference between the two mics. I’m guessing that’s about 4” difference between where e mics are aiming at the guitar strings that are about 3” high to low string. I would recommend hitting a really good/consistent player and record one mic at a time of minimally use two mics.

Yes we are going to do some more tests soon and we will do exactly as you say one mic at a time We are currently very busy developing new equipment so hope to get it done soon.

Here's a photo of our case we had designed with custom foam inserts - the high grade stuff that lasts. It's solid and gives the mic the protection it deserves. The leads go into a top compartment to keep everything neat.
