I use Wesaudio Dione, UAD, or the NI Solid Bus Comp. Ratio is usually 1.5 or 2, attack anywhere from 1 to 30, release either .1 or auto, getting around 1-2 dB of gain reduction. Usually have the HPF sidechain engaged or the Dione has some tilt filters that can be nice too.

With the $29 sale on all Waves plugins, do you think it might be worth it to snatch the SSL buss comp? I currently use the TK audio hardware on my master buss.

Doesn't do the glue thing super well. However, for $29 bucks it would be worth it for a parallel drum buss compressor. Works for for crushing drums though still not as much voodoo.

4:1, Attack 10, auto release, 2 to 4 dbs of gain reduction. Been using the Wesaudio Dione, the THD options are great!
