I had thought the AC defaulted to 1-2 always being the master outs.
I realized I can switch the source of the master out to anything in my session and available in the AC (software or hardware inputs).
I have all my ob going to my patchbays: first has delta outs and symphony ins, the second PB, has all the fx outs and ins,
Like wiz I use the logic utility i/o plug to send my aux groups out , so for example vox is 3/4 and I have my preferred ob comps for vox on 3/4 of the patchbayy, but I send /receive where I want ( e.g., WA2a, wa76 or Stam adg) depending on how I set the logic i/o gui or by patching.
So, I have my actual ob set to specific channels on my 2nd patchbay.
So I end up sending the daw stereo sub mix out to the audioscape ssl then to my kush electra so those are channels 13/14 and 15/16.
When the apogee was hearing 1/2 for the master outs, I could only monitor 15/16 on my cans.
But this morning , I realized I can make 15/16 the master our source, so on either my cans or my monitors I am hearing the final out session (plus ob), post AS ssl and kush electra.
As long, as everything is in phase and there are no timing issues, this should be fine: right ?
As all I am really doing is selecting digitally another stereo out in my session to be the source of my main monitor outs: right ?
