Seems like there’s been a thread on this, but i can’t find it. I’m Interested in this...read people saying they thought these were better than any of the other emus. Another question - is there any issue with transfer of license or anything when buying used?

Another question - is there any issue with transfer of license or anything when buying used? I had no issues when I sold the system. There was a transfer fee of $25 I think. The guy who puchased it had issues getting an expansion he was owed, but a simple email to Slate resolved that quickly. BTW, the expansion pack is nice. I demoed it and am going to make my 2 part emulations vs clones into series of a few videos, partly adding the Black bird mic pack. Still I find the emulations tricky to EQ. It is not like taking an EQ to my FleA 49, even when comparing it to the the B49. I can’t put my finger on it.

No problem when I sold mine, either. Slate customer service is really quite good at helping facilitate everything.

I actually meant problems with buying a used one. But meh. Well, what I mean is that I worked with the person who bought it from me, and all it took was one email to Slate. I followed up with the buyer a couple days later, and he said everything worked perfectly with no hiccups.
