I am 1/2 way through an Office/ Music space building project. I have been using the ILoud bluetooth speakers now for about 1 x year as they were a substantial upgrade from my Bluesky media desk 2.1 speakers at 1/2 the initial cost. but these MTM speakers look very interesting with built in ARC technology. i was thinking of moving up to these as i use Sennheiser hd650 headphones and my car to double check mixes. has anyone got any experience with this ARC software? Cheers www.ikmultimedia.com/products/iloudmtm/

I was looking at these as well for my writing/mobile rig! I have never used the ARC. I bet these speakers will get the job done!

I've used ARC, both version 1 and 2. It can help, but not always. I don't like how it changes the balance between my sub and my mains. I wish I could make it so only effects frequencies aboove a certain cutoff. Now, I've used ARC in 3 different rooms, and in each of those rooms before and after room treatment. The results are always different and unpredictable. Sometimes things sound weird and phasey. Sometime they sound better and translate better. In general, the worse your room sounds, the more ARC is doing therefore the more drastic the change. Its certainly not a substitute for room treatment or good acoustics, but it is another tool.
I'd shy away from speakers with built in ARC correction as you can much more easily just use it in plugin form on any speaker. That way it gives you much more flexibility to use or not use it.

Also, check out Sonarworks if you're looking for room correction. I haven't tried it, but it looks more promising than ARC

I hope you get the option of turning it off if you don’t want to use it.
