It’s called Rock And Roll Still Gets Me High!
This is an album of 70s style RNR originals. This is not overly polished. We went for a live, garage sound..,yet with a modern sensibility.
Me and AC did it all to include composing, performing, mixing, and mastering.
In true 70s style this album features LOTS of guitar. Best group of songs we’ve written, IMO. It is a GUITAR album. Marshall, Vox, And Fender amp circuits with Hamer, a Fender, Shishkov, Coop, And Epi Guitars..,as well as some partscasters. Wah, autowah, fuzz, talk box, 12 strings, Doubletracker, Neve preamps, etc.
We have lots of ripsnortin’ rockers, a tribute to Tom Petty and the Vegas shooting victims, a tribute to my epic badass last mother, a funk-rocker, a psychedelic instrumental with 3 bass tracks...including talk box bass (!), blues-rock, a political rant that goes after both parties, and an acoustic folk rock tune that features a mando and the national instrument of Puerto Rico—-a cuatro. Fretless Fender bass too.
If you like the songs PLEASE subscribe to the AC Rev YouTube channel and follow us on Spotify. We are available on cdbaby and Bandcamp today and will be on iTunes, Amazon, etc in a week or so. I also have hard copy CDs coming.
First song is Word On The Street....my Strat song on the album...,
Second song is a Petty tribute calle The Day Tom Petty Died...after my 12 string prelude, AC takes a killer solo that conveys the triumph of life over death... how do a I compete with that? I decided to channel Petty channeling Chuck Berry after that on my Newport.
AC is the Harrison to my Lennon, the Taylor to my Richards, and the Campbell to my Petty..,our styles mesh well as he is more melodic while I solo more rhythmically. He is younger than me so it is easy to tell us apart..,we both solo on most songs....
Please enjoy!
