I wish there was .5db boost / cut option on any API type plug like the 5500 hardware. Would be especially handy on the UAD API Vision strip (hint, hint..)

I've always loved the API EQ sound, but it is FUCKING INSANE that 2db boost is the finer points. I think the Acustica Pink is also finer adjusting. You can get the CM version basically for free.

Console 1 American Class A is switchable to either 1db increments or fully adjustable. I can't remember which. And it's stand alone. No console 1 needed.

Remember Hydratone by Tritone Digital? Vintage upsampling EQ in ‘06 That sucker took my Pentium4 for all it was worth. Tritone made the first plugins that made me say, "wow!!" They were really ahead of their time. And yes, they *destroyed* my CPU at the time.

I've collected too many EQ plugs over the past 10-15 years. I've let some of them go (mostly Waves - I didn't want to WUP).
I've been on the EQuilibrium train ever since it was released, and I still love it. Especially in FIR mode with Analogue turned on. Jack up the buffer window to whatever your CPU can handle. To my ears, it does make a difference. But yes, it's not a great UI workflow IMO.
I like a couple of the Slate EQs (Custom EQ bundle, mainly), but I don't like their Neve or SSL.
The Softube Trident still gets used over here from time to time.
The PSP E27 plug is fantastic, IMO.
But here's the new thing for me, and I hope it doesn't raise a ruckus here: I have gotten into the Acustica game over the past couple months, and holy holy crap. Some of them absolutely *smoke.* They had a big sale over the holidays, and you could double up with coupons. I ended up getting Gold (Neve) and Cream (TG 12345). I've never heard anything like them in the box. When testing them (30 day demo), I revisited an older song I had tracked last year, and I went from needing something like 8 or 9 plugins on the lead vocal to needing one Cream channel strip. It was remarkable.

I guessed about that in a previous post without ever using one. Ok makes sense now....

If you go to the menu and go to the "DSP" section (I think that's where it is - I'm not in front of it at the moment), you can select any number of options. One of those options is IIR or FIR.

OK, it's ressource hungry, but it fits exactly into my "as analog as it gets" spartanic plugin usage paradigm that I try to hold since 2 or 3 years of so. The Acustica plugins are a great addition to the Harrison Mixbus concept, that might be of interest for you as well?
