It's a music placement service.. As far as I can tell, if you submit "globally" they take what looks like way too big a cut of everything (to the tune of 30%), but if you submit individually to "opportunities," there's just a small fee. I know there are a few songwriters here. I assume the more experienced of you have developed contacts, but what about ground level?
Yeah, So I submitted a tune.. paid my $10 plus something like a first time $10 fee, waited ten days before getting back what smells like a form letter telling me that I'm a good songwriter (no critique) and they liked my song (never mentioning it by name). Nice melody, lyrics, yada yada.. I.e. stuff that would apply to any submission.. Then they asked me to directly email 3 more songs to them (so at least it's independent of musicxray ..with no fees).
I'll pass with a bad taste in my mouth. Call it sour grapes if you like, but lucky for me I don't even have three songs I'd want to submit. I write for myself and most of my music has zero commercial appeal. I just happened to write one that I thought could work so I gave it a whirl.

They gave me a free song to submit once, so uh (someone hijacked and used my computer) and submitted a client's song one time, thinking it would be a quietly discrete way to get some feedback and maybe even some positive review for the client. OOPS, LOL! They took that song and SEO'd through a network of zombie websites so that any mention of the artist in google would pull up all their sites for a few pages!!! I immediately deleted my account etc. Soooo embarrassing to ever fall for that.
