Do you guys know if ordering from Thomann is there any concern about how power is set up for those units to run in the U.S.? Good point. Still shows it as a normal IEC connection. And you can clearly change it to USD and shipping to US. Would think you'd get the right one.. From the 76-KT page "Auto-ranging universal switch-mode power supply." Just realized my bottom rack will now be all K-T/Midas product: (2) EQP-KT, KT-2A, 76-KT, L10. Only one space left now...

Ventilation 1U space for the win so you don't break up the KT/Midas mojo. Put it above the 2A.

I just ordered one of the L10 racks...too cheap to pass up. Best to have it on hand for testing purposes since a gazillion people are now going to own these.

That link is for the Midas XL 48. (If it's meant as a joke, fair play!) But still, I'm wondering if that box is any good at all?? I'm especially wondering if the converters are any good...

This one time i'm happy to live in Europe, most of the time everything is way more expensive in Europe.
1176: €200 (ordered 2 of them)
pultec: €200 (ordered 2 of them) midas l10: €200 midas l6: €180 midas 500 eq: €180 preamp: €150 comp: €150
Lucky us Where did you buy? I bought them at musicstore, but thomann has the same prices. And another thing i didn’t consider: if you’re from the states, you don’t have to pay European VAT, hence the even lower prices. I don’t know if there are other costs involved in buying from Europe from the States, so beware!

I can't remember: Was there a thread over at the purple site with folks who had done this?

Brad Sweet, I'm eager to hear the results of your testing on this one. Will do. By the way, Sweetwater just called and told me they are completely sold out of the L10. Wiped out in hours. I'm on the backorder list. Brad

Joking, though I've heard it compared to my Audient preamps and they are in the same class. Not sure about the conversion..

Should I wait..or get on the list..hmm Please don't interpret me buying one as an endorsement of this rack. I simply decided to buy one because I expect I will now get emails about whether this is a decent rack for the price, and whether I recommend it. People always email asking about the cheapest racks on the market and rarely the expensive ones. So I figured I should have an informed opinion. I literally have a drawer of 500 racks at this point. If it doesn't suck I will certainly let you guys know. For $299 I can at least use it for photos once I swap out the blue panels. Brad

Figured by the time I get one you'll have e tested it and if it's no good can move it off. Can't be all bad for some modules anyways. To a point anyways

Prices on Thomann have bounced back up a bit today, KT-2A is exactly what I paid at Front End, 76-KT, EQP-KT and L10 are all at 199 Euros now.

I wonder if DanDerloo’s little filter for 500 series switcher supplies would be a good match for this rack? I see somebody making a career out of affordable KT upgrade mods.

I had the KT2A and 76 in my cart at Thomann at the old prices. Pulled the trigger and they honored the pricing.
Wish me gigs, people. (But not that many, really).
