Wow, this is big news. Along with Buck (and Don Rich), definitely one of the greats. Chris

Who in the US didn’t grow up on Hee Haw! Can’t imagine my childhood without Roy and Buck.

One of my early childhood guitar heroes, along with Glen Campbell. Now they're both gone. Fly to the angels, man, and sojourn with your Savior.

OK your Glenn Campbell comment takes me back a couple of years ( Hey I lived on Galveston for 10 years) my mother was talking about me watching Glenn and Johnny Cash as little one and how good an influence they were rather than those rock and roll guys. Me “ ah mom you do realize Glenn was an alcoholic and Johnny an addict, you know just like your musical hero Mario Lanza” Yeah I’m a cruel SOB.

I was just in Galveston not even a month ago. Damn, I would love to retire there for a year, once the littlest one is off to college in 15 years . . . or buy a house on sticks on Tiki Island and get me a cabin cruiser.

No you wouldn’t, the Jellyfish and seaweed come in during the beach season, insurance on my little $179k house was more than on my uncles $500K house in Boca and I was under insured!! OH and IKE! I’m thinking an apartment in Nassau and a 30 ft Carver. I’m actually looking at a Carver and a slip on a lake in KS. Figure I teach the wife and kid to handle the boat on a nice calm lake and have the confident enough for the Caribbean in time for her retirement. But then boats are in my blood, when my dad died when I was 10 we owned 4 and I’m an only child !
