Shame it doesn’t have a one year waiting time, wildly varying specs from build to build, an ever changing price, and impossible communication with the builder - it would be a hit!!!

I'm sure he's talking about a certain hardware manufacturer that shall remain unnamed. Back on topic: every time I use my Weigth Tank compressor, I laugh. It should be mandatory equipment in any hybrid studio!

That was a great recommendation drbill - thank you! The store I bought it said they liked it better than some legendary stuff that I won’t name! It stays on electric bass at mixing time. Usually the bass is tracked through an 1176 so this rounds it off nicely. On double bass it’s like cheating! I’ve used it on vocals and acoustic guitars as well. There’s no way to make it sound bad.

What was the preorder price for the compressors? I just checked, it was $899 at the time. Looks like they've dropped to $899 as the regular price now too.

No, for some reason I usually end up running them on mono tracks. Lots of guitars, bass, some percussion, etc.. And come to think of it, I've used it on Vln too.

Cool, man. Thanks for sharing that. I love a Mu comp on violin or viola. Takes some of the pain away.

Received mine. Well packaged. Serial #004. Love it. Love my WT Comp as well. Weight Tank/ Locomotive products should have way more 'buzz' than they do.

So what are the go-to uses of a V72 pre? Never used one. Would it make sense to get four of them?
