Hey All, thanks for the interest in this new pre! It has been fun to work on and finesse into its sweet spot. Also, the challenge of trying to bring the WT-72 in at a low cost for you has been exciting. Weight Tank is no mass-produced clone maker and will never be. So, having only a few hands touching, testing and listening to the units before they ship might be a little different for a product at this price point. The presale was originally going to be N. America only, but after we've had some interest elsewhere, we've extended the invitation to our dealers outside of N. America. Because their services aren't free, this is the reason for the difference. Weight Tank can't undercut their pricing. Hope that makes sense and you still might choose to take advantage of the discount. :-) Weight Tank is becoming its own independent brand under Locomotive and will see more products in the future that continue to offer cost-effective solutions. All good feedback on this thread and very much appreciated. Thanks again for your interest! Eric The dealer cost makes total sense, thanks for explaining. Does that mean I can pre-order from a dealer in the EU? If so then I can get it ex Vat ... if I order from the US then I have to pay 23% import duty (no ... not a typo I’m afraid) EDIT: I see that SXPro in the UK are dealers .. I have an account with them.

No Problem Javamad,
I'm not too sure how the taxes and duties work with dealers outside of the U.S.
I bet they will tack them onto your final cost because they certainly won't want to pay it... just an assumption though. I'm sure someone here knows the answer.

I'm sure someone here knows the answer. Briefly: If I order something from the US, as a company(my studio is a company) or private person, I have to pay 23% import duty. If I order from an EU based dealer as a company, I can get it ex Vat but a private person has to pay the 23% VAT.

I wonder which will come first...the 76 that I ordered back in May or the WT-72 that I ordered today. Race to the finish... Curiously, I'm waiting on confirmation of some sort of input monitoring before I order my pair. They offered an LED input indicator light. That will certainly help.... But please, manufacturers, we need some sort of input and/or output monitoring. A series of LEDs like an API 3124 would do nicely, And that's a cheap solution.

After several customers have reached out regarding an indicator for both phantom and audio signal, I am happy to report that after revisiting the design and reaching a solid solution, you have been heard! The Amber signal LED located below the gain knob will begin to light up as signal has been detected and tracks well with the audio, giving nice healthy illumination. :-) Simple, clean and effective. I say this for just about everything hit I wish there was a stereo/2 channel version still in a 2u space. Don’t know if that’s physically feasible but I’d be tempted to replace my Sebatron Pres if so. Rack space is at a premium however and I need to save room for my future, dream purchase of a v-comp

Hey, anybody know if there is a way to get email notifications when there is an internal RGO message? I'm not always logged in here and can miss them.

It is now discontinued, but will be replaced soon with another unit (286B?) with the same audio circuit. Just needed to update the build offer some new features!
