Excellent work, Dan, and I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of it. From my father's side of the family, we reach back to Morgan Morgan. What's left of my people in W.Va. are in Monroe County though my cousin a few years ago sold the last family farm that we held. It's sad but I guess that's how she goes. I wasn't in a position it buy it, but if I could have my funny idea would have been to create a recording studio and run lines under the building down to the cave underneath, install a speaker and a couple of mics to use as a natural reverb chamber to capture the vibe of the land in every recording. Oh well.
Here's the house, which I hope still stands, which sits on 94 beautiful acres.
I am lately feeling as if I am everywhere at once though no place in particular.
Looking forward to hearing this! I grew up playing on WV coal piles and soot covered porches. Lived, worked, & played in the coal fields all of my life. This was stirring to me. Thought I was the only one here tied to WV..
