I think that sounds really great. Neumann’s have a distinctive attack that no other mic has, and I think Stam's nailed it. I worked with Neumann’s every day when I was doing commercials, and I can recognize that sound anywhere. The other thing Neumann U67’s and 87’s have is more gain. It shouldn’t make that much difference, but it does.
Now I can’t wait to do some tracking when I get the SA67 and have some of the RealGear guys over to my place for a test run. When that happens, I’ll film some of it for everyone to check out.

A bit of singing on our SA67 SA67NOS - SA73 - SA2A 2db boost at 12k
Well it's a great sounding singer - but I can't ever tell anything meaningful about a mic from a Youtube video clip, of course I need to have the mic in my own room. It does sound good on this singer - but how will it sound with my voice? STAM should sort out a UK dealership then I could demo an SA2A and SA67 in my own studio.

Agree, I can never come to any meaningful conclusion until it's in my environment, on my vox & in various contexts (ballad, soft, power, classical, etc.)

Wow Josh - is that YOU singing!
You can sing like that and design electronics - you're very talented!
But it shows you have a very musical ear and that's why the gear you make sounds great.
Well done :-)

That AT doe! So when are the new 67’s going to ship?
Yeah, him having a good ear for music is clearly reflected in the gear he makes. Guys like this: if it sounds bad, we get mad! .

Thank you guys, I feel honored
We are getting to the final staging of fine tuning the capsule with Tim these days
Bodies, PCB, transformers and tubes have all been ordered. I hope I can get the first 10 or so next month
We are being very very picky with this one to match my favorite vintage 67 100% !!
