Contact them before they deliver so things don’t Get screwed up! I've emailed Stam a few days ago and gotten no answer. I called DHL and they gave me a non-answer of "We don't know". DHL claims I "might" owe money for customs, but maybe not. It depends on US Customs, apparently. Who knows. I guess I'll find out when the package gets here.

US doesn't pay Tax nor processing fees (for the same reason as before I believe)
Canada and Europe does pay processing fees and taxes. Canada is weird, 50% of the time it just goes through

We are not defining processing, I think it’s a hidden brokerage fees for importing.
I ship to the closest US state and town and drive there pick up my gear and import it myself, you fill out a couple of forms, no big deal, so no processing fee.

John, the V Comp sounds fantastic, the Stam D sounds great. I'd love to have either of them. FYI, there's a Waves plug-in called V Comp I've rarely used, so I'm not certain, but think it sort of a Fairchild-ish plug. It's been a while, so I may be wrong, I'll take a look next time I open my DAW.

From the pictures I'm seeing, the unit itself seems to be way deeper than any other preamp I've got, making it probably the easiest to access too, hehe

Got a re-assuring email from Josh with Camila as a recipient, that I’m not forgotten as far as my 1073EQ/ SA-76ADG orders are concerned. So believe we are getting close and my patience will be rewarded. Happy Easter Stam Audio/ clients.

Josh messaged me on Sunday my units would ship by Friday, which I assumed meant today but will concede no particular Friday was specified. It was nice to get a status update on Sunday April 14th, the 1073EQ announcement anniversary!

Just ordered a second one. And I haven’t even really tried the line in eq yet (I know I know). I like the pre so much and the little bit of additive eq I’ve used that I’d buy it just for the pre.

Assuming it’s the same circuit - loving the 1073MPA over here. I’m really curious about the eq section in these.
