After being told by Marcelo that my SA-67s "should be ready this week" last weekend, I now get an updated email (thank you, Marcelo) telling me that it will be "another 10 days". I don't want to cancel my order, but it's getting close. Mine was ready “next week” back in August. I canceled my order a long time ago, of course.

Hey Martin John Butler, let me know when you get it. I’d love to bring my BLUE out there and hear them side by side.

Can't wait to get started with it Vincent. Of course you're welcome to come by. I saved some tracks done with some great mics that I'll compare to. I'm also planning on doing a comparison at a world class studio. I've tried enough mics to know they're more sensitive to personal compatibility than any other recording tool.
So what I'm really looking for is if it makes me sing better. Many very good mics don't do that, the Chandler REDD did, the vintage U67 at Jeremy's studio did, the Soyuz 0-17 did, and I'm hoping the SA67 does too.
Big thanks to Joshua for making this happen, the U67 is a complicated build and does take some time to get right I'm sure.

I've got those files buried somewhere. I've forgotten which track we used, but I'll figure it out.

I got the “will ship Monday” email reply about 3 weeks ago and now radio silence, no invoice, no email. Ordered Dec 26 ‘16. How does that line up with some of you folks’s impending orders?

I ordered mine in August, '18 and have been getting consistent emails and updates. No invoice yet, however.

My Dany Buchard 251 has a way bigger bottom end on it then my Stam SA-67. Is that normal for a 67? I also have a Beesneez C12 and a Tim Campbell Capsule C12 and they too all have a bigger bottom end and a more focused sound then the Stam My Stam has a wider Cardioid pattern on it so it has the potential for being very good as a room mic. I have not spent much time with it yet.
But if you get up close to the sa-67 the Porximity Effect really comes in to play. The SA-67 is a mic that you have to position yourself with a little more care. It certainly picks up more sound around you so now I will have to focus a little more on my poor room acoustics.

One of the big design features of the U67 is that it was designed for close miking, so you need to get closer to get that proximity. Not sure if the 251 should have more bottom end than the 67 though. The 251 usually has a roll off at 100hz. I know Bock’s does not have this and some other builders I know do not do this in their designs to get something slightly warmer than the original design. Not sure about Dany’s. The 67 usually has a very nice low end extension, but it’s neutral and very even sounding. Also not sure if you’re using an AC701k. That tube has a big low end reach and shimmery top end.
