Yeah It doesn’t see much use with the RADAR and I7 MBP in house but Its pretty worthless to sell, bought a 64 bit video card and did one of the firmware updates out there. I’m not a big plugin guy and never maxed it out! Biggest problem with the upgrade is you need to find some of the longest Allen Wrenches made to do the upgrade. At this point the chips are so stupid cheap your nuts not too! What CPU’s did you upgrade to? It’s been a while, but I know it can be upgraded to 2,1 with quad-cores. I did it about 6 years ago but if memory serves me x5365’s just like the 2.1 8 core, my thinking was if Apple is using them they will work with any firmware updates!

In Studio One 3 you can select how many cores get applied to what. I have to check but I think kontakt might offer the same. Maybe omnisphere.

An interesting feature but in all honesty that is a feature I’m paying for the fact that the guy who writes the code should no more about the efficiencent use of computing power than me!😎

It's a studio pc what else am I going to do with them? I hardly go online with it even. Maybe to look up synonyms or sending out mixes. Otherwise it's duty is the studio. Also it's mostly solid state and it's silent. No need for cooling but I also don't overclock it. My hd192s on the other hand can get loud. Bad design.

I can’t type and I’m the first to admit it and autocorrect makes me look like an even bigger idiot !😎 I think one of the greatest feature of the old RADAR is that it can’t go online!

If any of you want to take pity on me and give me your old Apples that "no longer open projects", I'll put it to good use.
