Just been playing with this for about ten minutes...It sounds pretty amazing. Actually, I'm really damn impressed. Beautiful attack. Has anyone tried the Audified version? Is there any advantage to using it over the Slate?

Is there any advantage to using it over the Slate? I'm not sure the differences between it and the audified version. I am demoing the aud version currently. It definitely has a sound and much more attack than any varimu I've heard before. I'm not sure what success I'm finding with it personally but it does have character. I'm currently really enjoying the Plugin Alliance 2254 clone plug by Lindell for bus duties. How are you using the u73b?

This isn't showing up in my gobbler app to install. Weird.
+1 for the PA 2254 comp.

It’s the VMR update.
Used it on vocals with one particular super dynamic female vocalist and it kind’ve slayed. Opened another session and it seemed to make the already pinchy vocals pinch more...which was opposite of what it did on the vocal it worked on. I guess ya just gotta have a bunch of tools.

I’m using the heck out of it across a handfull of vocals on a record now. It’s really good.

Can’t wait to try it on my own vocals. I downloaded the Audified version, and I really can’t tell any difference. In fact, I like that the slate version is in freaking English.

I'm all but certain the algorithm would be exactly the same. It's a port to the VMR platform I'm pretty sure. Like when UAD puts out Softube or Brainworx plugs.

Got it downloaded. Really nice. This and the fg are both very good. Not the biggest fan of the rest of slates comps.

So far it's been a little grabby for me, but maybe I should try it more on single instruments.

Try changing the calibration...it's basically a headroom knob

So, I have to take back what I thought of the Audified u73b. I just wasn't used to it's character. It's not much like anything I've tried before. I will say, I wish I had a wet mix(unless I am just not seeing it right now) and variable HPF. Once I learned that the release was crucial to the material(more so than other comps IMO) I was able to get some stellar results given I want to "hear" the comp a bit. Lots of vibe. Not for transparency at all. Here is a snippet of a track I did that I am releasing at some point. It's on the master bus. I feel like it makes the whole thing vibe more. Trippy rock sax solo
