I have an email off to Chandler support but thought I would check here in case anyone has any suggestions on what to check regarding no 48V phantom power on a REDD 47 preamp. I have two that were purchased at the same time so I was able to switch all cables and rule out any cable issues. It will run a dynamic mic, but no power for a condenser. An interesting thing is when I turn on the 20db pad, I get a little phantom power to the mic but not enough to use it. When I switch off the 20db pad there is no power to the mic at all. The DI also seems to work fine. I know the folks at Chandler will get back to me, but being impatient, just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions on what I might check. Again, I've ruled out everything I can using my other REDD 47 so it seems like this is an issue with the unit itself.
Thanks,
Mike

Sorry I can't be of any help but if I were you, I wouldn't plug any mic and especially condenser or ribbon.

Sounds like from talking to the folks at Chandler it is a bad transformer, so shipped back for repairs.

I just wanted to send out a follow up on this to say how fantastic the customer service is at Chandler limited. They took care of this small issue and kept me informed every step of the way. Judy (Wade's mom) was awesome on the phone. She and the rest of the crew at Chandler have made me a customer for life. I grew up in the area and as a side note, Judy said that Wade remembers my dad as one of his teachers in Jr. High.

Glad your unit is going to be on the mend soon.
