Looks like one can apply for 18 month 0% financing. Heck that's only $8,861.11 a month!

It looks like it was in the old Massenburg room. I wonder what they are replacing it with.

At that price they better rent a storage locker.

The K is the only console I’d ever want to mix on. The automation and recall are absolutely flawless. Most naysayers have never worked on one.
Seriously, with an unlimited budget, this is the home run console.

For a time, there was a 9064J in the room next door to where I sometimes work.
One of the guys was really friendly, but the first time I went over there for a chat I accidentally knocked over his bong. Later, his partner was always scowling when I saw him. I kept wondering if it was about the bong.
I couldn’t figure out how they were going to make it work financially, and then I came back after a derth of sessions, as happens in my own work and they were gone. I never got to ask, but I suspect they had presumed the console itself would bring in more business.

An 80 channel console just seems ridiculous to me. Channel 1 is in a different zip code from channel 80.

But hey this is why Aeron chairs have castors! In fact I thought I had a free Aeron for you that just needed a new castor, but it was a good fake with a cracked Cylinder 🙁

I’ve worked a bit on a 9080J with wings. The extra channels were great for when you lost a stereo cue or dynamics chip in the middle of a session. Just swap it out with channel 80 until you have time to fix it.
The K I work on a lot is a 72 which is the perfect size for a full on large scale console IMO.

I only rocked the J's, never used a K to my knowledge. What's the main difference between them Jeremy? The J's are certainly capable, if somewhat vanilla....

I only rocked the J's, never used a K to my knowledge. What's the main difference between them Jeremy? The J's are certainly capable, if somewhat vanilla.... As far as functionality, they are basically the same, with the K having a faster computer, nicer flat panel monitor, and depending on the model can do 5.1 or 7.2. It’s basically the difference between an old crt monitor and a new flat panel tv. Sound wise - the J’s eq is a bit crunchier and edgy if that makes any sense. The K is just super hifi. There really isn’t much of anything to dislike about it. ...other than the power bill. Most people that have used J’s In the past and know them, usually walk out of our place having fallen in love with the K. I can’t comment a ton on how the Duality sounds compared to the J and K. I tracked a record for a little over a week on one, but it was an odd room and It got sent off to mix by somebody else. Didn’t really have a base line to go by. I remember the mic pres being cool and very usable, and the usability of the console being very streamlined once I got used to it.

VK have two K's for sale on their site.
I remember a tech telling me about an expanded 80 series Neve that had mini train tracks on the meterbridge to move the ns 10's as the console was so long..

I’ve had a couple sessions mixed on that console. It’s the Indian, not the arrow, but meh.
