This thing is on sale for $29. Anybody have any experience using it? DSP usage?

I've used this for a while. The DSP usage is minimal. It's a very utilitarian plugin. It packs a lot of useful stuff in a small format. I found myself liking the de-esser and using it quite a bit not really for sibilance but for taking out boxiness that I tend to get from acoustic instruments. The different flavours of compression are fun too. I never cared for the eq.
I stopped using it because of a bug that I was getting on my Pro Tools (12.5). I would lose my settings after I closed my session. The plugin was still inserted but all the parameters go back to default. I never dealt with it because I have so many channel strip plugins(ugh) and it didn't seem worth the effort.

I've used it for utility shaping on a few sources and it works very well.
Only had it a short while so it's still being explored.
I used it on a Djun Djun and Tambourine percussion section (two tracks) and it did everything I wanted from those instruments in the song.
Mostly EQ, saturation, and compression.

I had bought it when it was on sale when it first came out. It looks pretty cool but I've never used it on anything. I tend to grab brainworx or softube channel strips first so i never got around to really playing with Omni Channel.

I'm very impressed with all the newer Waves plugins I got. Like them just as much as UAD or anything, they're just that good.
Even the old Q10 is decent, which is surprising, considering it's vintage digital at this point.

I demoed it when it came out. I liked the workflow; it was possible to work quite quickly. I really dug the two deessers: they were simple, but effective and fast. The saturation was a notch up from their older algos, IMO. But I did not like the EQ at all. And any channel strip that I would want to use needs good EQ, so I didn’t buy it. (Though it has that cool insert slot that works with any other Waves plugs, so if you have a Waves EQ you really dig, you could sub in a different EQ easily.)

The EQ is not "easy to use" it's got weird controls that go from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz on all bands, rather than smaller L/M/H bands like most EQs. It's a little clunky.
But other than that I thought it sounded "fine." Actually my drum track came out great.
Just my take on it.

I noticed the wide frequency range of each band. I guess it makes it very flexible but I wish it would show the value when you are not moving it. I also wish it was a little more limited. It might make dialing in something easier.

Good question. If I remember correctly, I thought it lacked the character of the better "modeled" EQs (PSP E27, Kush Electra, now Slate "A"), and lacked the versatility of the better clean EQs (EQuilibrium, FF ProQx). But I imagine the wide frequency bands you guys mentioned above may have also played into my decision. I remember thinking it was good enough that I might buy it, but then I asked myself, "is this a plug I still see myself using a year from now? Two years from now?" Who knows, maybe I would get addicted to the quick workflow and just dig the hell out of it. I did really like that deesser. EDIT: Also, it's Waves. EDIT EDIT: For some reason with Waves, I'm always suspicious it's the same algorithms with new clothes on. EDIT EDIT EDIT: Though admittedly, this one sounded different to me than my old Waves plugs from years past. I haven't bought anything from them in the past 4+ yrs.

I just did a tambourine track today. Scheps Omni is the PERFECT tambourine channel strip! LOL. The de esser, saturator, compressor, EQ all got used.
I think in fact I do like this one a lot. I just keep getting good results.
@theothermarkwilliams they said that partially some of this channel strip is recycled code, but some of it also custom for this plugin.

This plugin is incredible.
I was just re-mixing a song and I used Scheps Omni Channel on drum bus, and lead vocal. Those are two of my main sources that get a lot of attention. In both cases it knocked it out of the park.
The only part of it I don't really use is the De-Esser since FabFilter DS just blows all of them away. It's more of a 2 band dynamic EQ if you need it.
In the previous mix I had used the UAD Neve 1073 and the Empirical Labs Arousor on drum bus, and I was able to get a much better sound with Scheps. It just has more options and they all sound good.
Saturation sounds good, EQ is big and smooth sounding, three very useful compressor options that all sound different. Versatile filters. Even a limiter. I forgot to use the Bump, I should have tried that on the kick drum.
Anyway, I have fallen in love with this plugin. Fixed my mix big time.
I used UAD API 550A on the guitars, that's just a go-to for me, don't really need a whole channel strip there. Close mics on drums all had various plugins as well. Scheps Omni just on the drum bus. I want to try it on snare drum... and kick...
