Sennheiser MKH20 -> Gordon Model 4 Why not Model 5 Doug?

TLM67 electronics beat the MK67 electronics. I have always wondered why folks sell off their TLM67 circuit, it's a great sound with less harmonic distortion than the MK67 guts. Definitely useful!

Sennheiser MKH20 -> Gordon Model 4 Why not Model 5 Doug? Only because I was talking in mono.

$5000 mic + $3000 preamp + $3000 compressor.
No facetiousness intended. I would be happy with any combination of top-shelf gear. It is certainly up to the user - and the talent - at this price point.
I don't think I will ever grow tired of my U47-ish Cathedral Pipes Notre Dame into an A-Designs Ventura. Heck, lately I haven't even printed vocals with the STA-Level - it gets used on the lead vocal in parallel with a comp-2a and Dragon during mix. Gain-stage correctly, and carry on. No overs allowed.
