Ok, just to be clear, I like the Miktek CV-3, especially in its price range. My personal taste though is for a little less top end and a little more bottom. I have a matched pair. I’m thinking maybe a capsule change/swap might be an option instead of selling them.
It’s a U-67 style TUBE mic FWIW.
Thanks for any suggestions

Could be as simple as changing 2 capacitors.

This is very interesting to me, as I had a couple Miktek mics in the past and I ended up sending them back after demoing them. Not that they were bad, just like you said, I wanted them to sound just a little different. Something I would definitely have an interest in...

Could be as simple as changing 2 capacitors. Please tell... Capacitors frequently dictate these things. Someone have a schematic?

Shannon of Mic rehab was involved with the original design, his modded Mitek or a fave of many!

Just found one local for a great price. What is your feeling on these, besides wanting them a little darker?

Wish I had some advice. I love my c7s. Just really great sounding. A little bottom light and bright but in a great way. The mids are crazy nice. Sometimes they give me exactly what I want without eq. All for less than a grand. I've gotten my favorite sounds on nylon string guitar ever with these. All this to say I think Miktek makes great stuff.
Surely there is some filtering going on that you can change the point of with caps. Shannon at micrehab gets great reviews so I would ask there. Or maybe use the mic for its designed sound and get another mic with a darker flavor? I'm loving my adk z67 for that.
