hand wiring just adds a ton of labor and complexity. I'll take Colin's ez1073 all day over this with some Marconi knobs from Jeff.

Especially if they are being hand-wired by 12 y/o's in China! LOL I agree with you about the "hand wiring". I'm actually surprised that WARM took that approach to be honest.

Just looking at the pick and being a sarcastic old timer, I wonder if in the eyes of the ad copy guys plugging in all the molecular connectors by hand qualifies as hand wired?

It is stated they are handwired. I guess the news was leaked early but WA will have official info up tomorrow on its site.

One concession to cost that has not come up yet— appears they did not include line input transformers, FWIW. I wonder if the Heritage Elite did the same?

I use the EQ's (via the line inputs) on our Heritage 80 Series modules during mixing at least as much (maybe even more) than I use the pre's during tracking. If they didn't have line inputs (transformer) I would not have bought them in the first place.

The lack of line in Transformer is a bit of concern, but do any of the 500 series Neve clones have a Transformer on the line input?
