I don’t mean this in any dick-ish way but that’s hilarious. Well , it's not Considering everything will be in stock perpetually and things will ship within 2 working days his question is not silly. To answer your question and avoid waiting time you should get in touch in 2 months, I will have everything in stock Thanks!! OK, thanks Josh, will do

stam do you have any idea how much we all want you to succeed??? GEEZ brother, ericn and I spent an hour on the phone in Texas, whilst I was there working last spring, strategizing on how we could help you conquer the audio recording world!! I was one of your EARLIEST supporters, remember that, and still proudly stand behind you. So you might understand that we chide you and prod you a bit but only because we want you to step up your game, in loving ways!!

Curious about these. I know I'm probably asking an incredibly stupid question, but have any of these hit the US and had comparisons yet?

The comments are about ways to improve the customer experience, they are not actually just critical.

I thought Ragans comment was very funny and definitely not meant in a bad way. I think most if not all people here support Stam wholeheartedly, I know I do after using the LA2A for a few years and loving it. Very much looking forward to the two EQ1073 that I've preordered, and I don't mind waiting longer, but when the dates gets moved forward a few times I guess joking a bit about it is ok in my book. If I didn't have excellent ioaudio clones for 47 and 67 already I would probably have bought both of them from you aswell, but if you ever decide to make the ultimate 251 clone then I'm all in! I keep my fingers crossed that it will happen eventually!

When you’ve got a thread full of people mentioning stuff like “I ordered mine on Black Friday and I’ve been trying to get an email response ever since” and then someone asks “hey, so could I get a pair of these shipped quickly?” it’s inherently funny. It’s not an insult to that poster or Stam, it’s jist funny! stam: I hope what you say is true, my man. May it be so. I’ll believe it when I see it. And I’ll also buy some more gear from you You make great stuff and if you could get the customer purchasing experience to be less of a circus then the sky’s the limit. Edit: also, I second the 251 sentiment. If you could make a good one with the creamy mids and non sibilant top end, I’d be first in line.

Everything times 1000. You definitely need a business partner helping manage customer relations. I don't think Miguel is handling everything at the level that it should be at. Realistic time tables and better (with some automated) communication would make a world of difference.

Curious about these. I know I'm probably asking an incredibly stupid question, but have any of these hit the US and had comparisons yet? OK. Based on recent comments, I'll take the answer as a no? Just wanted to know if anyone has heard one of these in person yet.... It's really hard to keep track of what's promised, and what's actually happened. Thx.

I vaguely recall someone in Europe had one, but I'm not sure. Hopefully we'll all see it soon. I can't wait to try it out. I've tried the IO67, Vintage U67, the Soyuz 0-17 and the Chandler Redd, so I have some experience with similar great mics to judge by. I think it's gone be a great one for me, fingers crossed.

Saw this message on another Stam threrad so I thought I would copy it here from Johnkenn
"We would sincerely like to apologize to everybody for our constant and sometimes too long delays, I promise you we are working as hard as we can, hiring new people, training them and doing everything in our power to get your units out as soon as possible. Things got out of hand and orders multiply too fast for us to keep up with them.
Right now we are shipping the following products
SA2A, SA3A, SA47 FET, SA47, 1073MPA and SA67 (first batch). If you have reserved these products then you will get them this month, we are shipping them daily and catching up with the list.
The SA76ADG starts shipping in September
The Pultec replica, SA4000MK2, 312MP, Fairchild and 1073EQ as well as the SA87 and SA67 (second batch) starts shipping in October.
We will have every product in stock by November and end the pre/order system and their discounts.
Thank you again for supporting us and being patient with me and the team, I know we have a very long way to go to provide first class service and a better buyer experience but we are learning and getting there.
My warmest regards, Joshua"

I just noticed something on SA-67 product page. On the left side, under "Tech Specs," it lists the Hesierman HK-67 Capsule. In the description under "Better Components," it lists the Hesierman HK-87 Capsule. I'm assuming the 87 is a typo but I sent off a message asking to be sure. I'll post the reply when it comes in ...unless we get the info here first.

I'm really curious what the difference woudld be, if anyone knows.
I always thought the 87 and 67 capsules were virtually identical.

If I remember correctly... one of them has 2 isolated backplates, and the other has a single backplate. The one with two backplates can simply be shorted together to make it function the same as the other one... but not vice versa.
I think this changed somewhere between the U87 and the U87Ai

The K87 is a variant of the K67. I believe there is an aluminum ring between the backplates on the K87 and the k87 has four wires and the K67 has 3 wires. The original U87 used a K87. The U67 and the U87ai use a K67.

The U67 and the U87ai use a K67. Probably not raw aluminum since that would be a conductive material. I would wager a guess there is some sort of plastic involved. I believe the K87 backplates are electrically isolated. To work with the different pattern selecting scheme on the original U87 like you said.

That was well done. Mic #2 was slightly darker in comparison to the others, but they all sound great. I'd be thrilled with any of them. That's remarkable considering the prices these typically sell for.

I thought mic B was "less muffled" than the other two, in the sense of being a little crispier and with a lower bass feeling. It's funny how people hear things differently.
I'm going to place a bet (worth nothing) that mic B is the Stam since I thought A and C were a little more similar.

I'm going to place a bet (worth nothing) that mic B is the Stam since I thought A and C were a little more similar. I really have no idea as I don't know the studio, singer, pre's or the new reissue or Stam, but if I had to guess I'm with you : A reissue B Stam C vintage Only a guess though. It would have been nice to import those files into a DAW. I liked at the beginning where you could hear each performance on each mic although the performances were too long for me to hold my attention between mics. Later, I didn't care for the way they were compared where you couldn't hear each section A/B/C'd. Ultimately it's a DAW job where you can instantaneously switch back and forth - not a youtube video comparison. Still, it's obvious the Stam held up no matter which one it was. But I'm still guessing B.
