I’m interested in the current AMS neve offerings of:
1073
1084
1081
I’d like to here from people that have actually used the current offerings, specifically for kick. Which model are you most drawn to for your kick drum desires?

Only used the 1073...but if it’s just for kick (posh!) you can’t go wrong with the 1073. Class A 60Hz.

The mid bands on the 1081 and 1084 are more useful to me for cutting out the basketball thing without having to over dampen the drum itself.
I personally prefer the 1081. I know the 1073 preamp is supposed to be the best thing after sliced bread, but to me it’s a bunch of over-hype by the masses.
