Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the sold state considered more desirable?

The Abbey Road definitely sounds more crazy and random for envelopment but it murders CPU.
I like this one for short snare and vocals. The EMT140 envelopment really peaked on the neo-soul rock stuff and Fleet Foxes, now it's kinda cliched again.
For bigger room stuff I've moved on to more realistic reverbs, of which Relab VSR is the king as far as plugins.
Nimbus has great chambers though.

FYI: I hadn't heard of this plugin when it was cheap (or free). However, it looks like I get a second chance. I have learned that tomorrow and Wednesday this will be on sale for $29 at this link: www.jrrshop.com/soundtoys-little-plateThanks to @martin John Butler for telling me about this plugin just last week! :-)

It's always on a bus in my DAW. I use the Liquid Sonics as the main verb, and the Little Plate for color and vibe.

I tried it a while back and it didn't inspire me. That doesn't mean I won't grow to like it sometime in the future. But right now Rare Signals is getting most of my plate duties along with the Hofa.

I love it. When I want verb it is the go-to.

I loved it when I first got it (has it really been almost a year and a half ago???), but I've been liking it less lately.
