I just love compressors. And now that there seems to be a great special on the Liverpool model it has me salivating. I only have one style of vari-mu compressor at the moment and am very tempted to try this one. Are there any users out there? And by looking at the product pictures i cant help feeling that this may be a Chinese made unit even though it has no place of manufacture on the back of the promo pics. Any real life experience input would be appreciated.

I keep looking at it thinking the price is right, but after demoing the Chandler I keep thinking at best it's a one trick pony while the Chandler is a multiple personality tonal beast, but then I look at the price.... Sort of an audio Groundhogs Day where my wallet is Bill Murray's character.

was not impressed, nor even the least bit entertained by this compressor. I tried it and said goodbye to it, because I did not like the way the compression sounded. It had some tone, but I thought it sounded very gross when it compressed anything. Nothing near the qualities of the other variable mu I get to play with.

I was in a session with a prototype of it awhile back. Sounded pretty good but then it was just compressing some BGV tracking like a couple dbs. Didn't exactly get to really hear the thing. And I was one of the singers, not the engineer.

Also check out the Locomotive Weight Tank. Very nice. I know nothing about the Grove Hill though....

Curious if anyone has tried this. Kinda surprised at the lack of interest, when a bunch of guys seem to rave about the Locomotive Weight Tank. Anyone compared the 2?
