Can someone tell me how to start building these? Or point me to a website? All the "little" things are what slow the mixing process down...and when I have 20 songs staring at me, the tedium becomes painful.

Is Slate Batch Commander still in existence? Or has it been abandoned?

Is Slate Batch Commander still in existence? Or has it been abandoned? Still here It says "future compatability with Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, Digital Performer, Cubase, Nuendo and more.". The batch commander that came with my Slate Raven did not work with Cubase 8.04. It was a beta version. So, I'm sure their working on it.

Works with Pro Tools 12 though? I believe so, though not sure if both on Windows and Mac. Great concept. Hope they get it working on all platforms. I'm interested in your original question if people can give advice on macros as well. Things like a macro that would load multiple channels with inserts and sends would be a time saver for me. Also, a macro for duplicating a group folder and them putting a Trigger insert on each duplicated channel would save time when I use samples with real drums. I'm sure with enough reading I could figure it out, but if anybody already knows the steps and could share that would be cool.

Wow...downloaded Batch Commander and it was incredibly confusing...didn't work...and I don't have time to figure it out.

That's the rub of automation type scripting. I did that for a living. I'd spend a week working the kinks out a script that cuts a day's work into 4 hours. Since it was a monthly job....I won't get out of debt in terms of time spent for years.
Give me some examples of what you think you could solve with batch/macros in mixing?
