I feel like you guys should know about Jon Niess at Austin Signal and you should check out his Short Run Vinyl services.
I have used him to cut a short run of an album I produced, recorded and mixed and I was impressed with the Quality he displayed. I am planing on doing some of my solo stuff with him and selling it online. It may not make any profit, but I am doing it for the art rather than the business. Anyway, I think any serious band or artist would make use of what Jon is offering at his amazing studio in Austin, TX.
Selling something physical is tough in the days of the digitally disposable age but I think the difference is meaningful to fans. Especially records that are well produced and cared for.
