Seems like I read where someone sent me to a page where Fed Ex deeply discounted shipping...can't remember at all though...

yes , that was true but only for US customers. You had to go to its website to start an account or something, I remember checking.

I get a great discount from Fedex in Denmark but it's because I send a lot of packages and I've had my account many years.

Opening a FedEx Account gives you an 8 or 9% discount from the regular FedEx store shipping costs. If you ship a lot of stuff, I believe you can call them up and negotiate even lower discounts, but it depends on how much stuff you ship with them.

FedEx has a program called Great Rates, which you can use for international shipping if you have a FedEx account for billing. It can save you up to 80% on their "published" rates. So yeah, need an account and need to be shipping outside of the US.
