Joe posted on Facebook about some new tube preamps he is prototyping and releasing soon. Here is what Joe said on facebook Stereo :-) TAIPAN pultec MB1 type tube mic pre up and running on 345v this morning as well. REDBACK π΄47 type tube mic pre next to it running on 290v. Two very different sounding beasts. SMPS tube power has given both pres excellent low noise floor. #taipanmicpre #redbackmicpre #tubemicpre @jlmaudiocheers Wiz

My name is Liam, I used his go between and PSU kits when I racked my Spectra Sonics 110s many years ago (like 10 years maybe more, wow). Joe was supremely helpful, above and beyond. Pres are still rocking.

Thanks Wiz for sharing this :-) And everyone else for there kind comments. Yes these will be pcb kits and full 4 channel rack kits soon as full testing is complete. Link below to thread on JLM audio forum with more info and a wish list has started for other tube mic pres and Mu comps for this Australian Deadly Animals series. www.jlmaudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=291

Awesome -- I'm in for one of everything.... maybe 2. Can't wait to see the mu comps. Very cool that there's so many transformer options. Also, another vote for the V72 mic pre.

Ok cool I currently don't have 500 series.
Is this a proprietary rack format or just 19" ru format? I see red back animal preamp based on English 47 style pre? Will check out the JLM audio website to learn more π

I saw on facebook that they've added some audio samples of the 1st two preamps on soundcloud... Also, according to FB, they will be doublewide 500 series modules, followed by rack versions: soundcloud.com/jlmaudio/sets

I'm sure these pres are great but I'm waiting for mu compressor. Specially stereo or dual mono if possible.
I use JLM products daily in my studio and they work without issues and sound great

Since making our own TinyHVSMPS which convert 32v to 350vdc the valve mic pres and at least one or two types of Mu comp will be 500 series doublewide and 19" racks. All electronics is tested and 2000+ tubes have arrived. But still finalizing the 500 and rack metal work so no idea on release dates or costing. Looking for input on the forum thread as to which other mic pres comp eq etc people are interested in and how many mic pres / comps to a rack case users would like 1 or 2 or 4? So please go have your say there. Valve Mic Pre comp kit wish list & discussion www.jlmaudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=291Not sure why but I only get occasional notifications from this thread so have missed most reply's sorry. Thanks everyone for your interest and input into this project.

If you're looking for input and requests on types of tube based products you could make on this platform, I would definitely ask for a V72/V76 clone of some type.
