would have been a lot cooler if they recorded a modern style to show contrast. cool spot though.

It's interesting to see places that appear to be purist in regards to particular technique. Contrast against the many places that have a similar arsenal of vintage gear AND can chase fully modern production too. With the purist place, a single modern item or method might 'disqualify'. It's about living in a particular limited environment, and squeezing out all you can from the small toolbox. Perhaps with enough time and success that turns into a 'brand'. The other place can serve a broader array of customers, but maybe has a more general focus on technique, without specialty insight into the limited toolkit.
