I am talking about booting up and normal computer tasks like passwords and trivial shit, the fan is wide open, even still, after the " solution " .... just worried this is the hub of my studio. Also have a backup machine if the mbp doesnt make it, just windows based instead of MacOS

Went to due my drive upgrade and everything went to Shit ... Today is a samsung 850 Evo 😎👌 usually a 2-3 min boot time with 5400 normal load. Was in the 4 min frame all yesterday and today b4 ssd install... New ssd it's about 30-40 seconds to boot with everything plugged in, no beach balls so far! Waiting on my Stam refund to buy auto tune upgrade and then buy komplete upgrade! Just got screen flow 6 as well!

Yeah it was around that $229, idk though, just real bummed about it man. Yes it could be way more $ and way worse, like waiting until Saturday, then finding out I need to replace the mbp all together. I am bummed cuz I had everything ready for HD cloning and Sierra update but the MBP went to shit.. I never noticed anything acting weird. Stupid ass OS X Lion can't run full diagnostics, and of course he took my computer to the back to work on and run diagnostics so I couldn't see what was being done ( I didn't like that ).. How loud is your new MBP under half/ full load? Was there another problem besides the bad battery? Do you often run on only battery? I'm running with the power cord 95% of the time and probably would have just skipped replacing the battery. My new one isn't in yet and probably won't be totally up and running for a month or something. But they don't run directly off the power supply, which isn't a power supply at all but a battery charger. They run off the battery. Which is why if you run one to the point of dead battery and plug it back in again, it won't even initiate start-up until the battery is sufficiently charged to sustain the full power-up cycle. When the battery goes, it HAS to be replaced. Otherwise, it can overheat and eventually fry the mother board and other components. Remember the days, early 2000s, when batteries routinely caught fire in PCs and even some Power Books? well, I sure do!

Launch the activity monitor in the utilities folder, look at CPU usage and find out what's making the fan come on. That's likely your problem, it's not normal what's happening to your setup.

You can pull the battery out of the machine and run with just the charger plugged in.

That was for the removable battery ones that had a small internal battery as well, if memory serves me correctly...

All MBP and iMacs after 2009 have non removable batteries ... the dead battery had already done some type of damage to my logic board and if I had ignored the issue and tried to run it on the adapter I would have killed my machine in less than a week.
This was told to me after I had paid for everything and everything was running good not before to convince me to get the battery and other repairs. Plus if those weren't a solution to the problem I would have not got charged anyway. The Apple people knew I was not there to purchase a new mac and they were very helpful on a Monday night at 7:40 pm no appt 😁👍
