Monitor Control sort of seems like a condom choice to me. It's about what it takes away, or sort of, kind of, leaves alone. I am another happy user of the Drawmer MC 2.1. I don't believe it's 100% transparent, but I like what it does, or adds, or doesn't also do. My previous choices have all been budget crap that I won't even mention. Anything cheap and passive is not worth the time, if you have a few bucks available. The Drawmer has all the right stuff for me. It's been a big upgrade, and I haven't found anything cheaper that works in the same way.

www.tcelectronic.com/bmc-2/very nice piece of gear, transparent DA, user friendly, jitter reduction technology from TC6000 and fair priced + 1 for the bmc 2 the converters of the 6000 system sound great you have mono and side button as well as reference level and dim. For the second pair of monitors, in my case the NS10s, you need to use a second DA I use something very cheap by kwmobile a 24 dollar converter. Lateley I came to the conclusion that its a smart move in world of odd I phone DAs. Yeah I ditched the central station for it....

It's really a bummer. Tim seemed like a cool dude with strong values and he was passionate about his work. I like supporting companies like that. I was really rooting for his company. I supported Tim by buying this from his first batch when he was painting them on his back porch. What took him under was when he offered a tube setting and didn't charge previous owners for the upgrade. It involved changing the case and adding the tube and parts, basically getting a new unit and leaving him with a pile of old cases. Also too many products with too many options. I have one of the Mammoth Cave Audio Ground Control Deluxe, with custom options, an extra input pair, including a separate 4th output for a subwoofer amp, with a switch to set it out/in as needed: I also am the first owner of the tube version of the Wooly Mammoth Deluxe, with the new case and paint color, plus an extra input transformer option (Haufe), and input line preamps (the white knobs): I had taken delivery of the Wooly Mammoth Deluxe I had originally ordered, but it needed a repair, and while Tim had it, he told me about his idea to offer a new MkIII Tube Edition... and charged me a modest upgrade fee, as it was the first attempt. I was sad to see things go sour for Tim. I hope he is OK. - Bruce
